Dr. Prateek did his post graduation from Lady Hardinge Medical College , New Delhi. He received his fellowship training in IOL and Refractive surgery from DD Eye Hospital, Kota, Rajasthan.

His areas of special interest in ophthalmology include paediatric cataract,strabismus(squint),amblyopia treatment, myopia control, low vision aids and neurophthalmology.

He has presented papers in national and international conferences. He has also been involved in teaching postgraduate students, fellows and optometrists.
